This Stearic Acid is a natural saturated long-chain fatty acid occurring in vegetable fats, with an 18-carbon backbone. Stearic Acid is a multi-function anionic oil-in-water emulsifier and stabilizing agent, commonly used in the production of detergents, soaps, and cosmetics such as shampoos and shaving cream products. It is often used in lubricants, providing a soft, pearly and cooling feel on the skin.
Stearic acid is also a great addition to cold process soap recipes if you would like to create an extra firm bar of soap. Keep in mind if you use stearic acid in your recipe, it will trace faster and needs a hotter soaping temperature (at least 70°C) to make sure it stays melted. Stearic Acid can also be used as wax hardener, which helps pillar or freestanding candles hold their shape in warmer climates. It also increases wax opacity (whiteness) and assists with mold release.

常用方法 Common Use:
Add to hot oil phase to melt for proper use (56°C). Suitable for making all kinds of personal care products including soaps, creams, lotions, foundation creams, liquefying creams, shaving creams. Can also used as hardener in cold process soap and homemade candle.

Typical use level in cosmetic products: 1%~5%. Typical use level in cold process soap: 3%~5%. Typical use level in candle: 5%~10%.
保存方法 Storage:
Store in a closed container at a dry and cool place. Away from direct heat and sunlight. Refrigeration is not necessary.
注意事項 Contraindication:
For external use only, and should not be ingested. Should not be stored within the reach of children. A patch test should be conducted on the inner arm or other generally insensitive area of skin, using a dime size amount to check for sensitivities.
