Sugi is the national tree of Japan, commonly planted around temples and shrines, with many hugely impressive trees planted centuries ago. Often used for reforestation and for garden and avenue plantings. With high content of α-pinene (26%) and sabinene (21%), Sugi has a fresh, pine-like aroma with a light, warm terpene-like note.
